How critical is a well-functioning and dynamic ecosystem?

Orbyt’s Chief Business Development Officer, Thomas Voksø, attended the Mastercard partner day in October. This year’s event provided a good reminder of how critical a well-functioniong and dynamic ecosystem and infrastructure that is continuously invested in is for the adoption of digital bill payments consumers.

For Orbyt’s large B2C-focused customers with recurring mass-invoicing needs we are approaching 95 % in eInvoicing share in Norway, significantly above other neighboring markets. The demands for similiar results in other markets are high, bur some key building blocks needs to be in place to reach 90+% of eInvoicing share:

  • Consolidated database of receivers and general consent
  • Smooth onboarding/consent processes
  • Banks and/or mobile wallets investing in infrastructure and customer experience

Orbyt can’t directly influence all the above so we work closely with our customers to find ways to optimize the invoicing and payment process to reach results that are close to what we can achieve in Norway. It is harder, but still possible.

In the coming months and years, Thomas Voksø, is especially optimistic about what Swish recurring in Sweden and Variable Recurring payments in the UK can achieve. At least they have the building blovks to success in place.
