Orbyt wins major Peppol contracts
Orbyt, a leading Peppol Service provider, has won contracts from the Norwegian Agency for Public and Financial Management (DFØ) and the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvaret).
This marks the first result of Orbyt’s strategy to become a supplier for the public sector in Norway and other European countries.
“We are happy that we have succeeded in our strategy to become a leading Peppol Service Provider. We are looking forward to delivering high-quality Peppol services to our new public customers. Peppol services are and will remain a priority for Orbyt going forward”
says Rune Løbersli, CEO of Orbyt.
Orbyt will provide DFØs Peppol services, including invoices, orders, and payment, for the 90% of government agencies served by DFØ. Forsvaret uses Orbyt for processing all invoices through Peppol (Pan European Public Procurement Online).
The purpose of finding a new vendor was to find a partner which could contribute to the operation, development, establishment of integrations, and the migration of access point. After a comprehensive evaluation, DFØ chose Orbyt as their new vendor as Orbyt was best in terms of security, quality, and price.
“Now we have to prove ourselves as a new entrant in the public sector. Hopefully, this will enable us to expand our Peppol offering to Norwegian municipalities and other Nordic countries. We hope and believe that our best-of-breed solution for Peppol services is a good fit for modern public ERP architecture”
concludes Rune Løbersli.
