Ticketmaster Finland strengthens B2B invoicing with Orbyt
Ticketmaster is one of the world’s leading ticketing platforms, serving fans, artists, venues, and event organisers across the globe. The company is part of Live Nation Entertainment, the largest live entertainment group worldwide, operating across multiple continents and selling hundreds of millions of tickets each year. Ticketmaster delivers secure ticketing services covering the entire event lifecycle, from event creation and primary sales to resale marketplaces, access control, and fan insights.
In Finland, Ticketmaster plays a key role in the live entertainment ecosystem, working closely with venues, promoters, and organisers to ensure smooth and reliable ticketing operations. As part of a wider Northern European organisation, the Finnish team collaborates closely with colleagues in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
A need for efficient and reliable electronic invoicing
Ticketmaster Finland handles a significant volume of B2B invoicing towards venues, promoters, artists, and other partners. With a legacy finance system in place, the team faced challenges related to manual processes and duplicate work when delivering electronic invoices.
The need for a modern and reliable invoicing solution became increasingly clear. Automation, reduced manual handling, and secure delivery were key requirements, alongside the ability to integrate with existing systems without disrupting operations.
Choosing Orbyt as a trusted partner
When evaluating potential partners, Ticketmaster received a strong reference from within its network. This recommendation, combined with Orbyt’s clear vision and professional approach, made the decision straightforward.
“We trusted that Orbyt was a reliable and financially solid partner, and that the team would be easy to work with,”
says Marja Karjala, Manager Strategic Projects at Ticketmaster. Marja has been closely involved in the project.
“The vision was clear from the start, and they quickly understood what we were trying to achieve.”
Cost efficiency, structured project management, and a strong focus on security were also important factors in the decision.
Smooth implementation despite complex environments
Ticketmaster went live on the Orbyt platform in August 2025, using it primarily for B2B invoice distribution. The implementation involved several internal and external stakeholders, including local finance teams, venues and third-party system providers.
Despite the complexity, the project progressed smoothly thanks to close collaboration and frequent communication.
“The cooperation worked very well. We had regular check ins, clear responsibilities and strong follow up throughout the project. Orbyt was very flexible and patient, even when there were delays on our side,”
Marja explains.
The solution was adapted to work seamlessly with Ticketmaster’s legacy Oracle environment, using secure file-based integrations that met strict internal security requirements.
Reducing manual work and improving accuracy
Since moving to the Orbyt platform, Ticketmaster has significantly reduced manual invoicing tasks and the risk of human error. Invoices are now generated in the finance system and delivered electronically without the need for double entry.
“The biggest benefit is that a lot of manual work has been removed. This saves time and reduces errors. It allows our finance team to focus on more value adding tasks,”
says Marja.
The improved efficiency has also supported Ticketmaster’s wider goal of increasing digitalisation across financial processes.
A foundation for future expansion
With the solution in production and running smoothly, Ticketmaster sees Orbyt as a long-term partner. The setup in Finland also creates a solid foundation for potential expansion to other markets within the Northern European region.
“Everything has worked as agreed, and the solution has been very easy to use. Orbyt is professional, flexible and trustworthy in our collaboration,”
Marja concludes.
